Care Instructions

Premium Permanent Vinyl

Premium permanent vinyl is ideal for projects that need to weather the storm, from mailboxes to mugs, to outdoor signage and more. It’s a water-resistant and UV-resistant film with an adhesive that can last for approximately 3-6 years. Find care and application instructions below.

Application

  1. Make sure your project surface is clean and dry, it’s best to clean the surface with rubbing alcohol. Carefully place the transfer tape with vinyl images onto your surface how you would like them to appear.
  2. Now burnish transfer tape onto the surface. It’s best to peel off the white transfer backing on one side, and stick the clear sticky tape part to your surface, press down starting in the center and moving out toward the edges.  Use a flat sturdy object such as a credit card or scraper, if your surface area allows it.
  3. Peel the transfer tape away from the vinyl very slowly and cautiously at a 45-degree angle. If the vinyl sticks to the transfer tape, simply burnish the vinyl onto the surface again over the affected areas. Then continue to peel the transfer tape away from the vinyl. Please pay particular attention to smaller more intricate vinyl work.

Tips

Not easily repositioned due to the stronger adhesive.

Care Instructions

To preserve the life of the vinyl, it is recommended that you only hand wash the vinyl. Please remember that vinyl will last within reason, any small fragments or thin strips will be more prone to wear and tear.

Necessary Removal

The adhesive is designed to cure like a cement so it may have to be scraped off of glass or if on a painted surface you can apply a little heat to warm the vinyl such as a hair dryer and then use adhesive remover like Goo-Gone to remove the adhesive.

We hope you enjoy your custom permanent vinyl!

Find care instructions below.

  1. When using or wearing the product, be careful to not stretch, twist or fold it beyond its means, within a reasonable fashion.
  2. To preserve the life of the iron-on material, it is recommended that you only hand wash the product (inside out is best for clothing).
  3. Do not wash in a washing machine.
